Q3: Will a bridge password be needed when operating on-click pair?
When the device is in the initial stage, there is a default password(admin). So no password is required to input when operating a one-click pair.
When the device has been configured, you need add it to the bridge group manually.
Q4: If there are many devices onsite, what to do if multiple wireless bridges need to be paired?
It's recommended to pair the wireless bridges one to one in advance, and do not operating onsite.
If a pair of wireless bridges has been set up on site, and the CPE needs to be added, you can select "Scan AP" on the CPE side and add it to the existing bridge group. Or scan for the CPE on the AP and add the CPE to the existing bridge group.
Q5: Is one-click pair operated on the CPE side or AP side?
One-click pair is operated on the AP side. When this operation is performed, all CPEs in the initial stage will be paired
Q6: Will a CPE be paired by the one-click pair when it is not in the initial stage?
No, if the CPE is not in the inital stage, and has been configured bridge, SSID, management password, etc.,the CPE can't be paired by one-click pair. But if you log in to the CPE but do not configure it, the CPE is still in the initial stage and will also be paired.
Q7: Will the CPE need to do the inital configuration after it has been paired as wireless bridge by the one-click pair?
No, the CPE doesn't need to do the initial configuration, and it can be used directly. If you need to do other configurations, you can log in to its Eweb page to operate.
Q8: If a bridge group is created for two devices by mistake, how do I delete them from the current bridge group?
You can reset both devices to factory settings by following stage
Choose System> Management> Reset Click Reset to restore factory settingshttps://ruijie.feishu.cn/space/api/box/stream/download/asynccode/?code=NjcxNGQ0YWRlYTJkMjhkYzczZDI5ODc2ZDY4Zjg3N2VfQUdVRGVHT0NyWWVMaWVEM25Lc0Vyc2NqdFkyRHNqazNfVG9rZW46T1NBVmJWWEVPbzB4aDl4cUtZS2NmblpublRJXzE3MDkxNzUyOTE6MTcwOTE3ODg5MV9WNA
data/attachment/forum/202402/29/172816p3f677gjvnfvp6ll.png
Caution:This operation will clear existing settings and restart the device. Therefore, exercise caution when performing this operation. If there is any configuration in the current system, please export the configuration before resetting the device.
Q9: If the device has already created a bridge group, will it join the original bridge group after restoring the factory Settings?
No, it won't.
Q10: What are the steps to deploy a pair of bridges in a project?
Since the antenna of the device is separate from the host, please install the antenna part and the host partrespectively and then pair the wireless bridges one-on-one before you go to the customer site. Last, take the paired antennas and hosts to customer site for installation.

Q12: If there is a problem with the bridge network, do I only need to remove the host part for inspection and maintenance, and do not need to remove the antenna part?
Although the probability of antenna problems is relatively small, it is recommended that both the host and the antenna department need to check.
Q13: What are the troubleshooting steps if the bridge signal is weak?
1. Confirm whether AP and CPE are aligned. If they are aligned, the problem that may occur on the host.
2. Verify that the RF cable between the host and the antenna is normal
Q14:How long is the RF cable?
About 10cm
Q15: Can I use a third-party cable between the antenna and the host? How to install and how long is recommended?
It support to install the third-party cable and it is recommended that the cable length not exceed 20 cm. Install the third-party cable in the same way as the original cable.
Q16: What's the covering angle of RG-Airmetro550G-B? Does it refer to vertical angle or horizontal angle?
The covering angle of RG-Airmetro550G-B is 360°/120°/90°, and its covering angle refers to horizontal angle.
Q17: Can RG-Airmetro460F and RG-Airmetro460G use ANT20S type antennas?
No
Q18: The vertical and horizontal angles of RG-Airmetro460F and RG-Airmetro460G are only 9°, will it be difficult to align with the AP when installing?
The RG-Airmetro 460F and RG-Airmetro 460G are horn shaped and can be adapted to this form of installation.
Q19: Do RG-Airmetro460F and RG-Airmetro460G support ptmp?
RG-Airmetro460F and RG-Airmetro460G cannot be used as AP in ptmp scenarios. They can only be used as AP in PTP or CPE in PTMP.
Q20: Can RG-Airmetro460F and RG-Airmetro460G form a bridge group?
Yes, but the performance of the bridge is determined by the performance of the weakest one, namely the RG-Airmetro 460G, which is used as the RG-Airmetro460F
Q21: What is the material of the device’s bracket?
The antenna bracket is cast iron, and the RG-Airmetro 460G bracket is plastic.
Q22: Is the hoop made of iron or stainless steel?
Stainless steel
Q23: Are screws and nuts rust-proof?
Yes
Q24: Can Airmetro and EST products form a bridge group?
Airmetro can support PTP bridge with EST310 v2 and EST350 v2, but can not support bridge with EST series devices in PTMP scenario.
Q25: Can Airmetro recongize the bridging distance automatically?
Airmetro can't do that for now, but this function will be realized in the future.
Q26: if the CPE is installed at an inappropriate distance when pairing with basestation, will it affect bridge performance?
Yes, the factory default distance of CPE is 10km, which can basically meet the requirements of most scenarios. When it exceeds 10km, the performance and transmission rate of bridge groups will be affected.
Q27: If the distance between the base station and the CPE is only 2 km, will there be a loss of bridge performance?
There will be a certain loss of performance. The proportion of losses is about 10 to 20 percent
Q28: What are the advantages of spectrum scanning function compared with other brands?
Our advantage is that we take into account the scope of both AP and CPE. The spectrum scanning function of other brands can only see the information of the AP, but not the information of both AP and CPE.
Q29: Do Airmetro series products only support CCTV scenario?
The WISP scenario is also supported. Airmetro product can support the wireless bridge between the office areas, such as two buildings through the cable link communication is not convenient, you can choose the bridge.
Q30: Why is TDMA only useful for PTMP?
When TDMA is disabled, multiple CPEs send data to the AP out of order. As a result, the AP has some problems when receiving data from CPEs. The TDMA function dictates the order in which each CPE sends data, so it only makes sense in PTMP scenarios
Q31: Can TDMA be enabled only on the AP side?
Yes, the TDMA can be enabled only in AP side
Q32: How does TDMA's flexible mode work?
The TDMA working mode is based on the traffic of each CPE. In flexible mode, more bandwidth is allocated to CPEs with more traffic. For example, if the total bandwidth is 200M, the traffic size of CPE1 is 50M, the traffic size of CPE2 is 100M, and the traffic size of CPE3 is 50M, the AP preferentially allocates bandwidth to CPE2 and the remaining bandwidth to the other two CPEs.
Q33: Can batch edit the country code of device?
Yes, you can do it by following steps:
Choose Wireless Country/Region
Choose the target country/region from the drop-down list, and click Save
data/attachment/forum/202402/29/172756mxd6twr6iqdguo6q.png
Note:
Country/region code change takes effect on all devices in the entire network, that is, all bridges on the Overview page. Therefore, before changing the country/region code, confirm that the target device is on the live network and the WDS link works well.
After the country/region code is changed, the Wi-Fi network will restart, and the AP and the CPE will be connected after the Wi-Fi network is restarted.
Q34: What is the default silence time for DFS channels?
Ten minutes.
