What the steps of Port troubleshooting for Ruijie Switch?

1. Check the port status: show int sta

2. Check whether the port type is correct(if switch has combo port, you are advised to check whether the cable connects to the right port)
If the port type is incorrect, you can use thiscommand:
Ruijie>enable
Ruijie#config t
Ruijie(config)#int gi 0/48
Ruijie(config-if)#medium-type fiber   ---change the port type to fiber port
Ruijie(config-if)#medium-type copper      --- change the port type to copper port
Ruijie(config-if)#end
Ruijie#write

3. Check the optical module information and optical power meter: show int tran / showint tran dia

4. Check whether the optical attenuation range is normal:

show int g0/4 trans dia

If RX is alarm, it indicates that the peer optical module has issue / the jumper in the middle has issue / the optical fiber has issue
5. Test the module on a normal switch of the same model to locate whether the issue isthe module or Switch
6. Self-loop test. Check whether your Switch has enabled Self-loop test protocol like RLDP: show rldp

Troubleshooting steps:
[*]Check the port status: show int sta
[*]Check whether the combo port (The switch is 4 fixed optical port, the check is ignored)
[*]Check the optical module information and optical power meter: show int tran; show int tran dia
[*]Put the optical module on the same type and normal switch to test, can up.
[*]Self-loop test.
