Switch NFPP Technology

Introduction to NFPP Technology:
NFPP (Network Foundation Protection Policy) is a protection system used to enhance the security of switches. It ensures the normal forwarding of internet data on PCs and mobile devices even in the event of malicious data attacks on the switch.
NFPP technology is a proprietary technology and feature developed by Ruijie Networks.

Application scenarios and problems solved:
NFPP technology is applicable to any scenario. The security of network devices has become an important issue affecting the normal operation of networks. Attacks on network devices mainly manifest as the consumption of a large amount of memory, CPU, and other resources, which leads to the system being unable to continue providing services. When attacks are detected, it is difficult to promptly locate the source of the attack and fundamentally eliminate security issues in the network. NFPP is designed to address these problems.

The problem is how to solve it:
NFPP can prevent various common attack methods on the current network, including ARP attacks, ICMP attacks, IP scanning attacks, and DHCP exhaustion attacks. In order to prevent these attacks, NFPP classifies data flows based on pre-defined classification rules. The classified data flows will then enter the protection policy module and attack detection module to check if they exceed the rate limit or if there is any data attack. After these operations, if the packets are legitimate and not discarded, they will be sent to the packet queue for further processing. This ensures the security of network devices.
