What are the limitations of the Reyee 802.1x?

The limitations of the Reyee 802.1x are as follows:
1. Supported EAP authentication methods
Currently, only MD5 and PEAP authentication methods are supported.
2. Network compatibility restriction
If 802.1X encryption has been configured in the current network, and the wireless device that does not support 802.1X function is pulled into the network, if it is R220 or above, the wireless device will not be able to release Wi-Fi signals; if it is R220 or below, the encryption will be set to WPA2-PSK and the password will be in accordance with the IEEE dot1x+6 digits of the device's MAC. The password will take effect according to IEEE dot1x+6 digits of the device MAC (because 1X does not configure the password, if the unsupported device takes effect as OPEN, there will be security problems).
3.Application Scenario
The current wireless 802.1X program can be used only if all the devices in the network support it, currently only WiFi6 RAP devices, EG3XXX series devices support it. If there are devices that do not support 802.1X in the network, this function will not work properly. For example: the current pure AP scenario has been configured with 802.1X function, add an EG2XX series device, the 802.1X function will not be able to work normally.
4. AP+NBS Networking
If the current topology is AP+NBS networking, and the AP is connected to the NBS downlink, the port on the NBS where the AP is accessed cannot be opened for authentication, otherwise the AP will not be able to access the network normally.
