We are also receiving alarms related to MAC conflicts or network loops, and we suspect there might be multiple DHCP servers on the network.
Ruijie AP offline problem with "MAC conflict or loop" alarm and Multiple DHCP servers
Equipment: RG-RAP2260(G) x 3, RG-ES205GC-P (
The RG-ES205GC-P is connected to another switch in the network.)
Firmware update, device reboot, new IP settings have been done.
To assist in resolving the issue, could you please perform the following steps?
Click on the alert notification to view detailed information.
From there, locate and note down the MAC address associated with the alert.
Once you have the MAC address, I recommend performing a lookup using a "MAC Address Lookup" website or tool. This will provide you with information about the manufacturer, which can be helpful for identification purposes.
Should you encounter any difficulties searching for this MAC address online, it would be necessary to verify its presence within our network:
Temporarily disconnect the device from the network and observe if this resolves the issue.
Additionally, enabling DHCP snooping on your switch can enhance security. Please configure the uplink port as a trusted port in the DHCP snooping settings.
If the issue still exists, please talk with me again. I would be glad to help you in Community.
Best regards,
Micca
