Configuration Steps:
Step 1: Make sure the EG is online on Ruijie Cloud
Step 2: Create the portal template and click the “Synchronize”
Step 3: Choose the portal template and click “OK” to sync the portal to EG
Step 4: Go to EG eWEB, and enable the “Local Server Auth” and “Auth Integration with Cloud”, Notice: you need to add an policy and set the ip range which need to authenticate
Step 5: Wait 2 mins, check the portal template have synced to the EG.
Step 6 : On Cloud, the status of captive portal shows the date when last synchronization.
Step 7: Create the voucher code on Ruijie Cloud and check all the vouchers have been synced to the EG.
Scenario 2. Captive portal authentication with Reyee EG
Configuration Steps:
Step 1: Make sure the Reyee EG is online on Ruijie Cloud and click its SN in the list to enter the config page
Step 2: click the ‘Cloud portal Auth’ to configure the portal on Cloud
Step 3: enable the Auth firstly, then set the IP range which need to authenticated and choose the portal template to be used.In the end, click the ‘save’to save all configuration Notice: Exclude the IP of connected devices
Step 4:enter the eweb of Reyee EG
Step 5: enter the ‘Authentication’page of this Reyee EG.
Step 6:Click the ‘Cloud Auth’, you can see the Authentication was enabled, and the IP range was synchronized to here.
Scenario 3. Captive portal authentication with Ruijie AP
Step 1:enter the wireless basic configure page and choose the SSID need the auth
Step 2: enable the ‘auth’ in this page. Notice: only the AP captive portal need to enable the ‘Auth’ in this page
Step 3: after enable the auth, need to chose the portal template to be used and set the seamless duration.
Step 4: after lick the ‘OK’, the auth mode has been changed. In the end, don’t forget to click the ‘save’option to save all configuration. Dear admin
I want to ask a question. That is, I am using EG3230 gateway device & Reyee series APs, if I open both authentication methods at the same time as in #1 & #3, I see there seems to be a conflict in the loading portal authentication page display. And if I turn off auth in 1 of 2, it works fine.
So can you explain to me in the above 2 authentication methods, which will load the portal authentication page faster and consume less network resources.

Dear sir,
Please be advised that Scenario 3 above applies to Ruijie APs only (Reyee APs do not support captive portal on their own before ReyeeOS1.219).
The auth in SSID settings is only enabled when you are configuring captive portal for Ruijie APs.
