We need for next 2 upgrades to have implemented such features as QoS and SQM cause for a such kind a router and mesh it's a critical and necessary thing.It not so complicated to port them cause most of Reyee and Ruijie devices are based on open-source firmware (Open-WRT) and Reyee RG-E5, RG-EW3200GX PRO aren't an exception from the rule . Bufferbloat in 2023 it's a pain for such powerful devices... PLEASE!!!

Do you want to configure flow control on the router? You can refer to this guide:

Flow control is not the same as SQM or QoS. Cmon guys, im configuring devices ages in a row. Flow control = classic rate limiter and nothing more.
P.S i know how and what to configure. Better implement this settings.

Please for RG-EW1800GX PRO too, or for all of your products that using OpenWRT based firmware.
If we search about bufferbloat on ruijie or reyee, not even a single article or video is found.
Flow control, port flow control, XPress/Game turbo, all of that unable to fix bufferbloat.
Agree for Flow control = classic rate limiter and nothing more, no queue management, no package priority.

Yup i think it's dead i bought ew1800gx pro as well but don't have qos and sqm. Even cheap routers got qos and sqm sad

I am confused by the model number and the hardware version.

Is RG-E5 same as EW3200GXPro and also the same as mainland model x32 Pro?

What exactly is the difference between multiple hardware version ? I started with version 1, then there is 2.0, 2.1, 4.0, and then now got the black version 4.1

They are so confusing ....

And it's March 2025 almost 2 years since first requirement of SQM and QoS features and nothing. no upgrade, no implementation, no firmware upgrade to easy install OpenWRT into the router and NO RESPONSE FROM ANYONE.

I got both EW3200GX PRO and E5 both are the same just a minor changes great devices with a lot of potential even they are a little old.

I think with those required features are going to the top.

But I know this is a limbo (not dead cause is open) thread!! Not more waiting, opening amazon and getting a Flint2

That's really frustrating... I have 2 E5. its time so sell them and not recommend anyone to get it...

Dear customer,
For RG-E5 model, you can enable smart flow control that can ensure the client devices has sufficient bandwidth.

You can also configure custom policies to allocate bandwidth to specific IP addresses/ranges to meet the bandwidth needs of specific users or servers.
