Title: SPAN failure
SPAN is enabled on the switch but the SPANdestination port cannot receive any data.

  Possible Causes
1) SPAN configuration error
2) PC faults, such as failure to capturetagged packets

 Troubleshooting ProcedureStep1: Check switch configurations and topologyconnections.
1. Check whether switch configurations arecorrect. For details, see the switch configuration guide.
2. Check the connections of the networktopology, including the SPAN source and destination ports.
Step2: Check whether the SPAN source and destination portsare in Up state.
show interfaces status
If not, 1) check whether the cables areconnected properly; 2) replace network cables.
Step3: Check whether the SPAN source port sends andreceives packets.
show interfaces counters summary
show interfaces gx/y counters
You can check the Tx/Rx traffic counters onthe port. If the Tx/Rx traffic counters on the SPAN source port are unchanged,the SPAN is operational but no traffic is generated on this port.
Step4: Check whether the Packet Capture PC or tester cansupport tagged packets.
Some PC network adapters or testers cannotcapture tagged packets. If SPAN packets are tagged, they may be lost. If so,change the network adapter or tester (is there any solution to this? Forexample, modifying the registry), or capture untagged packets (for detailsabout how to enable capturing tagged packets, see the XXX section) to checkwhether the server does not support SPAN tagged packets.
Step5:Fault Information Collection
Based on the fault symptoms, record alloperation logs and packet capture information, and report them to Ruijietechnical support.
