I don't have that model
I don't know whether you can ssh or console to cli but
try
# ip ttl 1

Let say I have both EG3230 and AP820
I can set TTL1 in both of them
Do I need to set TTL1
1. in EG3230 only
2. or in AP820 only
3. or in both of them
