Can I set RG-EW3200GX PRO up to use Pi-Hole or Adguard Home for DNS?

You may configure a custom DNS server for the EW router in More > Advanced > Local DNS on the device eWeb.

Yes, the DNS can be a private IP address on the LAN network.

No, this feature has been on the router for a long time.
Btw, if your router is not running the latest firmware version ReyeeOS 1.219, you may upgrade it to the latest firmware which you can download at the following link:
