Title: Incorrect IP address assignment
I have an issue with RG-ES206GS-P/RG-ES208GS switches.
1) When i changed the switch management IP address to another one, say 192.168.100.201 and then add to the switch management vlan (in tagged mode), say 100. The switch still occupies the default IP-address 10.44.77.200 and even more - it responds to the illegitimate vlans. The problem can be observed on the ESW_1.0(1)B1P6,Release(08182519) firmware and ESW_1.0(1)B1P21,Release(10191815) firmware.
2) I can't update RG-ES208GS with ESW_1.0(1)B1P6,Release(08182519) to the new one like ESW_1.0(1)B1P20_ES210GC_10141311 via local update. It shows the process for some time (2 minutes) and then  stops. But the firmware still the same. Any suggestions ?

3) I can't add this to the Case Portal. After pushing the SUBMIT button it just shows me the blank box and the rest of the issue is ignored.

Dear Alex Alex Rymshin,

1) Please kindly note the default IP address of the device cannot be changed, it is different from management IP, default IP can allow you access the device when management IP is not obtained properly or you do not know the management IP.

2) Could you please confirm the switch SN? If the upgrade fails, you may reach out to RITA live chat and we can help you check further.

3) It is advised to reach out to RITA live chat for issues with case portal.

Best regards,
Jayden

1) default IP address of the device cannot be changed

It's something beyond insanity... If you cannot obtained IP address properly you cannot respectivitely
communicate with the device (on L3 OSI), so you use something like L2 communication (Mikrotik,Moxa etc) but not with statically nailed IP-address. What, If i already use it ? What if i have 10 ruijie switches ? What kind of stupidity is this? There is a reset button in such cases. Beyond this - why the switch responds with default IP on the request in the users vlan ? In such case it cannot be used in an untrusted environment and even more it break the normal networking because this is not router.. I don't understand it. Is it solvable or i need return equipment back to the distrubutor ?

2) Two of them CAQL75P010154, CAQL75P000698. Sorry, but what is RITA ? Can you explain me..

3) as above

Dear Alex Alex Rymshin,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused, but the default IP is reserved for accessing and managing the device and unfortunately it cannot be changed.

Hi,
I totally agree with Alex Alex Rymshin.

I don't understand why the IP 10.44.77.200 is exposed in any VLAN and the switch is exposed to any user.

1. Is it possible to restrict the access to this IP only from the management VLAN?

2. Is there any way to deactivated the IP 10.44.77.200?

3. What happens when we have 2 or more switches? Do we have ip conflicts in any vlan? which one answers in this IP?

4. How safe is a network equipment when it is allowed to anyone in a network to try to find the password?
