Title: EW3200 GX direct LAN cable connection is slow but wifi is fast?
I get more than 100Mbs through the wifi connection on my EW3200GX but a direct connection through any of the LAN ports only gives 20-30 Mbs? What do I need to change in settings?

Dear sir

Can you provide the following information?
1. How many users were connected during the test?
2. Is the wired speed measurement result the same for each PC?
3. What is the device version?
4. Does the device have a speed limit on?

Dear sir

Can you provide the following information?

Only 1 user was connected
The wired connection seems to be very slow for all LAN ports (20-30 Mbs) but fast for wifi (100 -250 Mbs)

The Device Version is 1.00
I do not know how to tell if a speed limit is on for the LAN ports - how do I check that?

Hi Mike,
The TAC has runed tests on the EW3200GX PRO and connection velocity between Wireless and wired connection doesn't show a significant difference.
in order to verify an issue with your device please help us perform the following steps:
1) Replace the Ethernet cable and also test in another port of the EW.
2) Verify that the negotiation rate of your LAN port is 1000M.

3) Check if a custom policy is enabled in the EW.  In your Reyee Router App: More Tab > Advanced > Flow Control > Custom Policy (no custom policy should be enabled for your device(s).

4) Make sure the Software version is the latest:

5) Make sure that the tests (wireless and wired) are performed in the same time frame.

thanks for the suggestions.
1) I have tried various LAN cables and it's the same.

2) The LAN ports show 1000M ok.
3) The software version is shown below - not the same one as your example?

5) All tests were performed at the same time.

Advice appreciated

Cheers

Mike

may you try to upgrade the firmware version to the latest one? Here is the link for you: https://www.ruijienetworks.com/resources/software/ew3200gx-pro-firmware/reyeeos219/

Tried all of those and still no good.  The speed through all LAN ports are really slow and very variable. I've had a PC professional here testing the router and he says there is something wrong with the hardware for the LAN ports. This is a brand new router.  Can I get a replacement router please as this one is faulty?

Dear sir

May I know if you change another router connected to the ISP, whether it has the same slow issue?
If your PC directly connected to the ISP, whether it can get high speed?
When you doing the speed test, please help capture the packets on the router via page Diagnostics >>Packet Capture and download the packet file and send it to us: service_rj(Ruijie International) <service_rj@ruijienetworks.com> attached this community link.

Best regards
Jenny

Dear Mike McLaughlin,

May I please confirm if the router is connected to your ISP modem? If you disconnect the router from the modem and directly connect the laptop to the same cable from the ISP modem, what speed will the laptop get?
Additionally, what speed test site are you using? Have you tried different speed test sites or tools?
BTW, have you enabled Hardware Acceleration on the router? You may refer to the following guide:

Best regards,
Jayden

Can I know what the bandwidth provided by the ISP is? You can try to set the bandwidth in the flow control to be the same as the bandwidth provided by the ISP

Hi:

When you purchase the internet service from one ISP, you will receive a guaranteed bandwidth until your modem. You usually can buy different packets with different bandwidths. If you don't know this information, you can ask your ISP to find out and the let us know.

Thanks.

Regards,

Javier

Generally speaking, the value of the bandwidth is exact. Can you check with your ISP for specific bandwidth? Or if you're trying to connect your PC directly to your ISP, have you tested the speed of the direct connection?

ok I found the problem - if the LAN cable from the router gets too close to the cable coming from the Starlink dish, it interferes and slows the LAN down. I have separated (physically) the cables so that they have different runs now and full speed is achieved!
