We re facing very harsh competitive conditions in both public and private bids where other vendors easily disqualify Ruijie and Reyee products because of a lack of very basic and simple information thateveryone else seems to publish routinely.
Among others, the main issue we are facing is the latency values for several speeds and port types at 64 byte packets (The most common value found). despite there is no "standard" for latency values, each time we compete with HP/Aruba, Juniper and even DLink, we face the same embarrasing situation of bidding with a clearly superior device, but we are shamefully disqualified for lacking such information in the datasheets, inslall and configurarion guides, web configuration guides, CLI command refeence and software release notes. Latency seems to be nowhere.
Other interesting values are related to complementary information like forwarding in Mpps without stating the packet size in bytes, clear routing table sizes, stating the max LACP groups and max interface members supported, and so on.
It would be advisable to make a review of what information belong to the datasheet and either include additional sources for more cumbersome values or provide details of the calculations made about it.
Please feel free to contact me as I am willing to contribute to the improvement of the uijie and Reyee success in teh public and private bids in Peru. Author: chenchunyan@rui Time: 2024-5-9 08:56
