Can I use the EG series for the main router then use EW series for the WiFi around the house?

AP Mesh is a feature of the APs, and as long as the AP series you choose supports Mesh, then you can use it with the EG series.

RG-EW3200GX PRO is a mesh router, so yes, you can mesh them together.
