Title: How to do if an EW Router wireless client can detect Wi-Fi signals but cannot connect to the Wi-Fi network, thus cannot access the Internet?
1. Issue Description

A wireless client can detect Wi-Fi signals but cannot connect to the Wi-Fi network, thus cannot access the Internet.

2. Network Topology

1. Possible Causes
1.1 The signals are too weak due to a long distance between the wireless client androuter.
1.2 Excessive devices are connected to the router.
1.3. IP addresses cannot be obtained because the DHCP address pool is disabled.
1.4 The router is configured with an allowlist or blocklist.
1.5 Excessive interference exists in the wireless environment.
1.6 The client uses an incompatible wireless encryption mode.
2. Troubleshooting
2.1 The Signals Are Too Weak Due to a Long Distance.
If Wi-Fi signals are too weak due to a long distance between the wireless client and router or due to numerous obstacles, move the client close to the router and connect it to the Wi-Fi network. Alternatively, increase the transmit power.

2.2 Excessive Devices Are Connected to the Router
If the number of client devices connected to the router reaches the limit, any additional devices will fail to connect. Disconnect the existing clients and try connecting failed clients to the router again.
2.3. IP Addresses Cannot Be Obtained Because the DHCP Address Pool Is Disabled
If the DHCP service is disabled or the DHCP address pool is exhausted, clients may fail to obtain IP addresses and connection attempts will time out. In this case, most clients fail to connect to the router. Enable the DHCP server or increase the DHCP address pool capacity.

3.4 The Router Is Configured with an Allowlist or a Blocklist
If aclient is accidentally added to the blocklist or the allowlist mode isenabled, remove the client from the blocklist or switch the allowlist mode to blocklist mode.

3.5 Excessive Interference Exists in the Wireless Environment
When the client fails to connect to the Wi-Fi network of the router due to excessive interference in the wireless environment, you can use wireless scanning software such as WiFi Moho to detect idle channels and select an idle channel for the router.

3.6 The Client Uses an Incompatible Wireless Encryption Mode
Check whether the encryption mode of the client is compatible with that configured onthe router. If not, the connection may fail.
