A client is within the coverage area of a Reyee AP, but cannot detect the SSID broadcast by the AP. 2. Topology
3. Possible Causes
(1) The AP is configured to hide its SSID.
(2) The AP is enabled with the IEEE 802.11ax standard (Wi-Fi 6). Some older devices, like old desktop PCs and barcode scanners, have network interface cards (NICs) that only support 2.4 GHz, and therefore cannot detect IEEE 802.11ax wireless signals.
(3) The AP’s radio is down, resulting in a failure to transmit wireless signals.
(4) The country/region code of the AP is incorrect. 4. Troubleshooting
Step 1: Check if SSID hiding is enabled.
Log into Ruijie Reyee App, tap Workspace > Wi-Fi Settings to accessthe Wi-Fi Config page. Check if the Hidden toggle switch is on. If so, toggle it off.
Step 2: Check if the AP is set to 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) mode.
On the Wi-Fi Config page, check if the AP is operating in 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) mode. If so, change it to compatibility mode.
Step 3: Check if the AP's radio is down.
Ensure that the Reyee AP is online on Ruijie Cloud. In the web CLI, click WLAN-MBSSID to check the radio status. Step 4: Check if the country/region code of the AP is set correctly.
Consult the specification for the current AP version to obtain the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz channels supported by the country or region where the customer is located. Ensure that the AP’s country/region code matches the customer's location. 5. Information Collection
a.Device model and software version
b. MAC address and model of the faulty client
c. Network sharing information (if the device is online on Ruijie Cloud)
