Title: Dual WAN setup but house loses internet when WAN link goes down
Edited by User 29978 at 2024-10-6 19:29

I have two WAN links on a smart load balancing setup, but there were several instances that when WAN internet connections go down, WAN1 does not act as a failover.

I noted here that Link detection is not supported.

I understand that I can use the Active/Backup function, but that would mean WAN1 will only be active when WAN goes down right?

I want both WAN and WAN1 to be active simultaneously, but serve as a failover for each other if any WAN loses internet.

Is this a limitation of the device version or is there another setting I can use to achieve this?

Dear sir

You can configure link detection on reyee gateway via the following and test whether the failover can work normally:

Hello,

Unfortunately, version P202 does not support this configuration.
Can I know more about the configuration and test results?
1. If users fail to failover properly, do you have PBR configured? You can check and share screenshots here: advanced > routing > PBR
2. If PBR is configured, you can try to
remove the PBR and test the failover again
3. If PBR is not configured, can you tracert and share the result with us?

Best regards,
Micca
