Hello, I have many Access Points (AP820 V2) that work in fit mode (managed by a controller). I made SNMP settings on the controller, but the APs that work in Fit Mode do not have these SNMP settings. When I activate manual SNMP on the AP, the settings are deleted in the first config sync process. I couldn't send snmp config to the ap because there was no snmp-server argument in ap-config all in the controller cli. Is there a way to send these SNMP settings via the controller? Note: I think the snmp settings on the controller are only valid for the controller. I've already tried this. |
You can run the ap-group command on the ac to access the ap group and configure snmp configurations for the ap group in batches |

ssahin replied at 2025-3-14 16:51 Hi sir, Configure the SNMP read and write community and SNMP server on the AC, and send the AC to the AP. Ruijie(config)#snmp-server community XX (where XX is the snmp community) rw (be sure to configure it as rw, read-write) Ruijie(config)#snmp-server host server IP traps version 2c XX (where XX is the snmp community) Best regards, Steve |
Hello, I mentioned it in my previous posts but I guess you didn't pay attention. I already made snmp settings on Ruijie ac. SNMP is currently working on the controller but unfortunately these settings are not available on the Access point side. AC; snmp-server location DEMO snmp-server host x.x.x.x traps version 2c **CommunityName** snmp-server enable traps snmp-server community **CommunityName** rw The Access point I manage from this controller does not receive these settings from the controller. I think the snmp settings are not syncing. |
ssahin replied at 2025-3-14 17:15 hello, the solution was with ap-config. Thank you to the support team. The commands are as follows; on AC; configure terminal ap-config all exec-cmd mode configure cmd "snmp-server location TESTLOCATION" exec-cmd mode configure cmd "snmp-server community COMMUNITYSTRING rw" end write if you wish, you can also define traps after the exec-cmd mode configure cmd command. |
