Vlan Integration with TPlink

I'm upgrading our network using EG1510XS with 2 ISP and have made 3 Vlan Groups: Vlan 2 , Vlan 10 and Vlan 20. I have no issues with vlan working within the ruijie router however I'm also using a Tplink SG3218XP-M2 that is then connected to my OC200. I copied the same vlan configurations on the omada cloud and connected it to my ruijie using a trunk port however it is a bit unstable. I would sometimes be able to ping another device only 1 way but internet has no issues. I tried in same vlan group sometimes i cannot pink the other devices. i also tried 1 in a certain vlan group and the other device in a trunk line however I still have the same issue. I don't have any issues with the IP address assignment because it is working great. I just need to have access on my server which is under Vlan 10 from another Vlan Group. I tried the ACL but not sure if it helped. What should I do to be able to have intervlan access and make sure that devices in the same vlan group see each other. please help me 🙏

note: I noticed that ruijie cloud is a bit delayed. During my test, when I moved my laptop from vlan 2 to vlan 10 (in the tplink switch) for example i would still see my laptop in vlan 2 despite being in the vlan 10 group with a new ip address already. Is that part of the reason why I can't see the other devices? but when i use the other laptop to ping my ip they are able to get a reply.

Troubleshoot Guide Switch Network Setting Configuration Troubleshooting

Hi sir,

Based on your description, you are dealing with a complex network environment involving multiple devices and VLAN configurations. To resolve the issues you've encountered, we need to ensure that the following aspects are all correctly configured:
1. Trunk Port Configuration: Ensure that the link between the Ruijie router and the TPLink switch is correctly configured as a trunk port and allows all necessary VLANs to pass through. On the TPLink switch, you need to ensure that 802.1Q tagging is enabled and the native VLAN (if any) is correctly configured.
2. ARP Cache Issue: Based on the latency situation you mentioned, there may be an issue where the ARP cache has not been updated in a timely manner. When you move a device from one VLAN to another, old ARP records may still exist in the network, leading to communication problems. Try clearing the ARP cache on the relevant devices, or wait for a while for them to update automatically.
3. ACL Configuration: If you are already using ACLs, ensure that they do not inadvertently block intra-VLAN or inter-VLAN communication. Check ACL rules to confirm that they only restrict traffic that should be restricted. Finally, regarding the issue you mentioned where the laptop still appears in VLAN 2 after being moved from VLAN 2 to VLAN 10, this may be due to certain parts of the network (such as switches or access points) not correctly recognizing or applying the new VLAN assignment. Please ensure that all configuration changes have been saved and the devices have been restarted (if necessary). Additionally, check if there are any static MAC address-VLAN binding rules that may be causing this issue.

Best regards,
Steve
