How to enable MDNS protocol ?

1. IPTV Vlan 130 (10.9.130.100 IPTV Server IP)

2.Chromecast Vlan 190 (10.9.190.x IP of any Chromecast device)

3.Guest Vlan 170 (IP of 10.9.170.x Guest phones)

Ouraim is to ensure that phone and tablet devices connected to the Guest Vlan(Vlan 170) can transmit images to the Chromecast Vlan (Vlan 190) under thesupervision of IPTV Vlan 130. For this reason, it is desired that no protocolblocks data transfer between vlans. Studies have observed that there areobstacles in the transfer between vlans. It is thought that the problem can besolved by enabling the MDNS protocol.

Therelevant 3.16.4.1 Enabling the Bonjour Gateway page of the Ruijie RG-WLANImplementation Cookbook (V4.1) of my request in question shows a similartopology. However, when I want to apply this recommended method, the switchdefines the commands incorrectly.

Dear Sir/Madam

Bonjour protocol can be enabled on Ruijie gateway products, it may not be available on S2910-10GT2SFP-P-E currently.

Hello Davit, First of all, thank you for responding to my topic. I thought I read in the above cookbook (Ruijie RG-WLAN Implementation Cookbook (V4.1)) that this can be done on the switch. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I leave the link below

Dear Emrah Güler,

Please kindly note the Bonjour Gateway configuration is applicable to the Access Controller (RG-WS series). Your topology does not show an AC in the network, may I please know if the APs are running in fat or macc mode? Please try the following commands to allow mDNS broadcast forwarding on the APs?

Ruijie(config)#data-plane close-mdns-filter enable

Best regards,
Jayden

Jayden, I stated it as Ap180 in the topology, I think you will see it if you check it again. All Access points work in macc mode.

Hello again, This simple detail escaped my attention. Can you help me on how to apply the recommendations in the book to my own system? There are 46 customer rooms and each room has 2 TVs, 1 Ap 180. Incoming customers want to watch broadcasts on TV by sharing the screen from their phones.
