Good Morning

My company wants to connect network between building with SFP+ and < 300 Meter space between building for data and CCTV network and planned using this switch

1. Switch Core : RG-S5760C-24GT8XS-X
2. Switch Distribution : RG-NBS3200-24GT4XS

What type of SFP+ Module that we can use for these type switch ? We aim using Bidi SFP+ Module because we had installed 2 core Fiber optics between building . (1 Core for backup)

Thankyou for the answer .

<span style=""">And the wavelength is 1330 and 1270, Do we have to buy 2 type of this for tx and rx
eg : Core Switch -> 1330 , Distribution Switch -> 1270

or

We buy 2 unit and the wavelength is free to choose ?

I'm sorry asking this silly question sir . </span>

Thank you for the reply sir.

Dear IT Kartikasari,

The BIDI modules must be used in pairs, for example, if you use XG-SFP-LR10-SM1330-BIDI-I on one end,  XG-SFP-LR10-SM1270-BIDI-I must be used on the peer port.

Best regards,
Jayden

Thank your for the reply GTAC-Jayden !

To confirm , We have to buy 1 unit XG-SFP-LR10-SM1330-BIDI-I for Core Switch , 1 Unit XG-SFP-LR10-SM1270-BIDI-I for Distribution unit .

And for FO Cable , it has to be Single Mode fiber as I read on the document

But, What will happen if the FO Cable is Multimode IF cable length is under 300 Meters ?
Sorry again for asking silly question again .

Dear IT Kartikasari,

Sorry for our late response.

if the FO Cable is Multimode, the XG-SFP-LR10-SM1330-BIDI-I and XG-SFP-LR10-SM1270-BIDI-I can not be in use with Multimode cable.

the
XG-SFP-LR10-SM1330-BIDI-I and XG-SFP-LR10-SM1270-BIDI-I supports up to 10KM distance. so they can work if 300 Meters.

Regards,

David
