What should I do if Port Mapping does not work?

Fault Phenomenon 1:
a) After port mapping, the external network cannot access the internal server.
1) Check if the External IP Address or the WAN IP address of EG is a public IP.
If the External IP Address is a private IP, even if Port Mapping is configured, it will not take effect because the external users cannot access the server through the private IP address.
2) Verify that the internal IP address and the internal port can be accessed normally.
If the internal users cannot access the server through the private IP address and the internal port, you must first check whether the port is open on the server. If it is not open, the port mapping will not take effect.
If you are not sure, connect a computer to the same network as the server and try to access the server to see if it works.
3) Confirm whether the server and the router are within a Layer 2 environment or a Layer 3 environment.
If it is a Layer 3 environment, make sure the router has a static route that routes back to the L3 switch.
4) Check whether the gateway IP address is configured correctly on the server.
If the gateway IP address is not configured, or is configured incorrectly on the server, the data packets from the server may not pass through EG and cause the access to fail.
If you are not sure, connect a computer to a different network as the server, and then use the intranet computer to test whether the server port can be accessed. If it can, it means that the server gateway is correctly configured. If not, it means that the server gateway is either not configured or it is configured incorrectly, in this case, please contact the server manufacturer for support.
Fault Phenomenon 2
b) After port mapping, the external network can access the internal server, but the internal network cannot.
1) Confirm whether the internal host accessing the server has been implemented with PBR and data packets are forwarded to other interfaces.
2) Confirm whether the server has been implemented with PBR and data packets are forwarded to other interfaces.
