What should I do if the static route does not work?

Issue Description 1:

The configuration cannot be saved.



Solution
1) If the static route is destined for a single host, the Dest IP Address should be a host IP address and the subnet mask should be 255.255.255.255;

2) If the static route is destined for a network, enter the network IP and corresponding subnet mask


Issue Description 2: the Reachable status is 'No'



Solution
Check whether the outbound interface in the current route can ping the next-hop address


If the ping failed, please verify the correct outbound interface and next-hop address to reach the destination network. The outbound interface is the interface that forwards the data packet. And the next-hop address is the IP address of the next hop in the route for the data packet. If the outbound interface accesses the Internet through PPPoE dialing, you do not need to configure the next-hop address.
