Hi Kevin Bryan Laurea,

Did you enable RLDP on NBS switch?

If so, After anti-loop is enabled, network congestion and connection interruption caused by loops are avoided.
If a loop occurs on the access switch, the loop port is automatically disabled.

Best regards,

Steve

Hi Kevin Bryan Laurea,

Yes RLDP is enabled. That's why switches connected to port with a loop shutdown. how to prevent loop? as far as i know, there is no physical loop.

Hello Kevin Bryan Laurea,

You can change the action type of the port. But I suggest you check again to see if there is a loop in the network. You can unplug the device from the down port and test it again.

There are three methods for handling port faults:
Warning: Only related information is displayed indicating the current fault port and fault type.

Alarm and Blocking Packet forwarding (Block) : After a fault alarm is generated, the faulty port is configured not to forward the received packets

Alarm and Shutdown port: After a fault alarm is generated, the port is shut down

If you still have issues please contact us again. I'd like to help you in community.

Hello Kevin Bryan Laurea,

The loop occurs on the AP

Hi, Kevin Bryan Laurea

If the loop occurs on the AP, it should be caused by the AP receiving packets containing Source MAC of its own MAC address. Please try to enable port isolation for the AP on the switch.

Best regards,
Jayden

Hello
Kevin Bryan Laurea,

If a device receives a data frame from its own MAC, there may be MAC conflicts, loops, or configuration errors in the environment

Hi, Kevin Bryan Laurea

You may check if any broadcast packets are sent to the AP but the source MAC address is the same as the AP's own MAC address.

Best regards,
Jayden
