Hi, I have EG2100-P V2 with multiple WAN, both having public IP. I have enabled Ruijie DDNS service from the cloud and able to access from outside. My question, there only setting to map the ddns to WAN IP or Public IP, so how can we choose which one of WAN0 or WAN1 public IP to be used for the ddns? Thanks. |
Hi sir/madam, If both public addresses are accessible from the outside, you can choose one on demand. |

Setail Engineer replied at 2024-6-14 12:24 Hello, If the WAN interface is a public IP address, you can select "WAN IP" when you configure DDNS. In the case of multiple WANs, you can manually select a WAN port If the device WAN port is a private IP address, you need select "public IP". In this way, you can map uplink devices with public IP addresses If you still have issue or question on this DDNS setting, please tale to me again. I'd happy to help you in community. |
GTAC-Micca replied at 2024-6-14 12:43 Hi, I can't use "WAN IP" because one of the WAN gets private IP (DMZ from ISP router), that's why I used "Public IP". Both ISPs provide public IP. So when I select "Public IP", how ruijie determine which Public IP to be mapped to the DDNS? |
Setail Engineer replied at 2024-6-14 12:52 Hi, Setail Engineer The Ruijie DDNS is mapped to the Egress IP of the device. Best regards, Jayden |
GTAC-Jayden replied at 2024-6-14 12:57 Hi, Okay, so the Egress IP is decided by the device itself when we have 2 Public IP? |
Setail Engineer replied at 2024-6-14 14:09 Hi sir, Yes. It will detect the egress ip by itself and you can see it here. |
