Captive portal always asking for log in

Hi
Please help i'm always being asked to log in when ever i connect to different wifi ssid

I have an EG105G-P-V2 setup with captive portal, i also have an EW1800GX-PRO setup as AP , a tplink AP and a RG-EW1200G Pro set as AP and

all with open ssid.

My issue is if I used voucher to log-in in the captive portal if will work on one AP but when i change AP it will ask again for authentication.

Is there any settings im missing that i need to enable so i can roam without being asked again when i change access points?

I tried using the qr code its still the same results.

Adding my MAC address is not an option as i dont want to do that to all devices that wants to connect to my internet.

Just want to hand out vouchers( for laptops) or maybe let them scan qr codes ( mobile phones)

Thank you this community is awesome and very helpful

Hello,

I‘m sorry that we can't provide a specific solution for you based on current information. Can you help to check the following aspects:
1. Do you have seamless online enabled or configured? May you take the screenshot of your setting for checking?

If yes, how long did you set it for?
If it is disable, you can enable and set the time to test again.
"Seamless Online" refers to the process where a user uses a device to access the internet and only needs to perform web authentication for the first login and there is no need to authenticate again when using the same network from the 2nd time. After the user goes offline, they can also reconnect within the specified time without the need for authentication.

Here's the Seamless Online function instruction, you may refer to these post: https://community.ruijienetworks.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=4552&extra=page%3D1

If the issue still exists, please talk with me again. I would be glad to help you in Community.

Best Regards,
Micca

Hi Micca
I have this turned on and is set to "always" but still being ask to enter voucher again after transferring to a different SSID from another access point.
Please note that for now i only 1 rujie home router set as AP mode and 2 other brands AP.
when hopping to the other brands AP Im being asked to log in again using voucher and user account.

I understand that I can resolved this issue by using the allowlist thanks again for the answer you provided.
But i dont want to do that everytime i have guests that wants to connect to my internet.

Also i dont have the budget yet to buy rujie AP's and just want to make use of my existing non rujie brand AP's for the moment.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hello,

Can I reconfirm some details with you
1. Are users connected to different devices with the same SSID?
2. Please help to check whether the SSID on each AP is the same vlan.
3. Could you please show me the configuration of the authentication range on EG and the authentication IP of the test user
4. Can you shoot a video to show me the auth process?

Best Regards,
Micca
