Keywords: Website, access failure 1. Issue Description When a PC is connected to the modem, the PC can properly access websites A and B.However, if a Reyee EG router is installed between the PC and the modem, the PC cannot access the two websites. 2. Device Model and Firmware
4.1 App Control on the Reyee EG is Configured Log in to the Reyee EG and check the app control configuration. App control is configured, but websites A and B are not in the blocklist. Therefore, app control is not the cause of website connection failure. 4.2 The Reyee EG Has Multiple Outbound Interfaces, and Communication with the Websites Through Some Outbound Interfaces Fails Check the configurations of the WAN ports. Multiple WAN ports are found. WAN1 is connected to the modem. According to the fault symptom, if the traffic of the PC accessing websites A and B is transmitted to the modem through WAN1, the communication between the PC and the websites should be normal. Check the flow table on Reyee EG to find that website A is accessed by the PC through WAN 0 and UNREPLIED is displayed in the State 2 column. Use the URL function on the Reyee EG to direct the traffic of PC accessing websites Aand B through WAN1. After the configuration, ask the customer to access website A. Meanwhile, check the flow table to find that the access traffic from the PC is still transmitted through WAN 0 instead of WAN1 as configured in URL Routing. Check the WAN port status. WAN 1 is found to be in Offline status. URL Routing provides a Traffic Assurance feature, which automatically routes traffic to an available out bound interface when aspecified outbound interface is unavailable. WAN1 is configured with a static IP address and an address conflict may exist. Change the IP address obtaining mode to DHCP. The detection status of WAN1 changes to Online. Ask the customer to access websites A and B again. Check the flow table to find that the traffic of the PC accessing the websites is transmitted through WAN1 and the status is ASSURED (indicating normal communication). The customer reports that the access to websites A and B is normal from the PC. |
