Configuration Analysis

  • When an RG-NBR uses WiFiDog to interwork with Ruijie Cloud for captive portal authentication, the maximum upload and download rates configured in the user group created on Ruijie Cloud do not take effecton the RG-NBR for authenticated users.
  • Portal authentication users are external users for the RG-NBR.
  • An authentication user group can appear in External User Group and a policy can be configured for the user group only when at least one user in the user group is online.

Configuration Procedure
Create an authentication user group on Ruijie Cloud and add a voucher account.
Connect a terminal to the network and log in with an authentication account.
Log into NBR eWeb and choose Flow > Flow Control Policy > Smart Flow Control.
Toggle on Flow Control.
After you toggle on Flow Control, the page will refresh automatically. Then, click the Change Policy tab.
Click Add Policy to configure a rate limit policy.
Click External User.
In the pop-up window, choose Select User(Group) > other_rootto select the authenticated user group.
Configurerate limits.
