Edited by Daniele C. at 2023-3-9 15:54 Hello, I have bought 3 access points EW1800GX-PRO and I have just discovered that the maximum lenght of the WiFi password is only 31 characters. The problem is that all smart swithces of my house have been set up with a 35 characters long WiFi password. What can I do? I cannot use the EW1800GX-PRO unless I change the password of the smart switches but it is quite complicated. Please advise, it is a great disappointment! |
Hi bro, At present, this is the limitation of the product. I will confirm with the R&D whether there is a solution. |
GTAC-Steve replied at 2023-2-27 10:45 This limitation is AGAINST the standard WPA2-PSK. Quote WPA2-PSK requires a router with a passphrase, with a length between 8 to 63 characters Unquote Please release a firmware update allowing longer Wi-Fi password. Otherwise I am forced to scrap the units and buy other ones and this would not be good at all. Thanks. |
