Note: Smart traffic control shouldn't be enabled on the current network, which conflicts with the wireless rate limit feature. To enable wireless rate limits, you must first disable smart traffic control. Method 1: User Rate Limit Reyee EG in the project You can Click[Project]-->[Devices]-->[Rate Limit]-->[User Rate Limit] You can input the device's MAC address that you want to set up Rate Limit and you can choose different speed limit units(Kbps/Mbps/Gbps) Method 2: Wireless Rate Limit You can Click[Project]-->[Devices]-->[Rate Limit]-->[Wireless Rate Limit] Note: The upper and lower rate limits in the rate limit per client and the rate limit shared by all clients can be configured in any combination. Per-user rate limit: The rate limit applies to all clients connected to the SSID. For example, if the rate limit per client is 1Mbps, then all clients connected to the SSID are limited to 1Mbps. Shared by all users: All clients connected to the SSID share the configured rate limit equally. The rate limit of each client changes dynamically with the number of clients connected to the SSID. For example, if the rate limit per client is M, and the number of clients is N, then the rate limit of each client will be the result of M divided by N. Method 3: AP Rate Limit You can Click[Project]-->[Devices]-->[Rate Limit]-->[AP Rate Limit] Note: You can use this function to configure the network-wide client rate limit. All clients on the network will share the configured rate limit. But the priority of this rate-limiting mode is lower than that of the user-based rate-limiting mode and SSID-based per-user rate-limiting mode. Method 4: Packet Rate Limit You can Click[Project]-->[Devices]-->[Rate Limit]-->[Packet Rate Limit] Note: You can use this function to set downlink rate limits for broadcast and multicast packets. If the Internet is frozen without heavy traffic during normal use, you are advised to adjust the rate between 1 kbit/s and 512 kbit/s. A lower rate ensures a better Internet experience. Note: Not all models of devices can support the rate limit(Rujie EG, EW series device), so if you want to set up a rate limit to achieve a similar effect, you can configure the rate limit by SSID Method 5: Configure the rate limit by SSID You can Click[Project]-->[Devices]-->[SSID] Note: Rate Limit for SSID Users: Total throughput (upload & download) on this SSID Single-Client Speed limit: Upload and download speed is limited to each of the clients on this SSID. |
