What are the requirements for VAC networking

The requirements for VAC networking are as follows:

1. The device type of all AC members must be the same. WS6108 and WS6816 cannot form a VAC, and WS6108 and WS6008 cannot form a VAC.

2. If the VAC is composed of more than 2 box AC, then the upper connected switch needs to have the remaining ports and AC to establish VSL links The number of ports depends on how many VSL links are planned for each AC, and it is recommended to plan 2 VSL links for each AC when there are enough ports.

Caution: If two box ACs form a VAC, you can directly connect lines between ACs as VSL links. Each AC (including box AC and card AC) can plan more than one VSL link to backup each other.

3. The port used by the uplink switch should support the configuration of the aggregation port, and the load balancing method of the aggregation port should support source IP or source IP+destination IP.upper connected switch to establish the VSL link needs to support extra-long frame forwarding, with MTU configured as 9216. Two AC directly connected to do VSL links do not require and can not be configured with MTU.

4. The uplink switch should support the configuration of the aggregation port, and the load balancing method of the aggregation port should support the source IP or source IP+destination IP.

5. The AC service link must be connected to the same switch or VSU switch.

6. Check that the corresponding functions are supported by the VAC versions

7. Check whether cross-WLAN roaming in centralized forwarding mode is required. Currently, it is not supported
