How to troubleshooting if RAP 2200F keeps restarting?

Possible Causes

1.        RAP sets a scheduled reboot.

2.        RAP lose power supply due to the poe function is scheduled disable on the uplink switch.

3.        The power supply standards of the AP and poe  switch are inconsistent

4.        The power supply to the uplink POE switch is insufficient

5.        RAP's cable has issue

6.        RAP's port has issue

7.        Uplink switch port has issue

Troubleshooting Procedure

1.        RAP sets a scheduled reboot:



2.        RAP lose power supply due to the poe function is scheduled disable on the uplink switch. You need check on the uplink poe switch



3.        The power supply standards of the AP and poe  switch are inconsistent

Check on AP datasheet



Check on Poe switch datasheet(XS-S1930J-8GT2SFP-P for example):



4.        The power supply to the uplink POE switch is insufficient

1). Check the power consumption of AP



2). Check the power supply of poe switch(XS-S1930J-8GT2SFP-P for example)



3). Check whether AP number x power consumption is within the power supply range of the switch

5.        RAP's cable has issue

Change to another cable for the test.

6.        RAP's port has issue

Replace another RAP of the same model with the same cable connection in the same port of the switch for testing.

7.        Uplink switch port has issue

Use the rebooted RAP to connect to another switch port for testing.
