I have bought this AP (Im new to Reyee, Im switching from TPLink's omada), I have followed all steps online to configure the captive portal on the Cloud interface, but still when I access the SSID there is no captive portal that is displayed users just get internet access instantly since the ssid has no security (open). Does this mean I'll need a gateway for this to work? 1.Please advice how to work arround this using this RG-RAP2200 AP. 2. Please also advice which device would be easy to use for this, I am switching from TPLink's Omada I am new to Ruijie Reyee and thought if I could have just the AP doing this it would be cool.. I've got client who needs captive portal control access for their businesses while cutting down on the number of devices on their network. |
Dear sir, Sorry, due to the hardware limitation, RAP2200(F) can not support captive portal Only RAP support WiFi-6 and upgarde tot he firmware version 219 can support captive portal Best Regards, Ross |

Thanks for the reply and clarifications, it is much appreciated, just one last honest question which might seem stupid to those who are not new to your products. RG-RAP2260 is the same as RAP2260? This is what my supplier currently stock that can help me, just need to make sure I don't get this one wrong. |
