Why SSID when adding a switch to the cloud?

Hello,
I am trying to add a Ruijie switch to the cloud.
I have chosen to scan its bar code and after having scanned it, I am asked to choose a WiFi SSID.
I do not understand what this SSID is and what is its purpose.
Can you please clarify?

The SSID is for your network project on Ruijie Cloud.
May I know if this is your first time to use Ruijie Cloud APP?

Yes, this is my first time in Ruijie cloud.
So the SSID has nothing to do with WiFi, is it just the ID of my network in Ruijie cloud.

Is that correct?

Actually, it is for wifi.
When you create a project on Ruijie Cloud, there will be a wifi.

Only Ruijie Switch in your current network?
If so, you can follow the cookbook to add. And never mind the SSID.
Coz if there is no AP, then this SSID setting will not affect.

No need to use the SSID of AP.
As I said, this SSID is requested when you create a project on Ruijie Cloud.
This SSID will be also used by ruijie/reyee AP when you add ruijie/reyee AP on Ruijie Cloud.
