Edited by FDSFSFS SFSDFS at 2024-10-3 06:10 Hello, can you please help me find a reason of POE issue. About 2 weeks some of my POE devices that worked for years stopped working, it's mostly POE extenders / slpliers. At same time AP-180 access point, Reolink camera continue working without issues. I tried to change ports, connect failure devices on cables where other devices work but no luck, I'm still getting POE error in PoE Device Panel of Device config. The only idea I get, it can be related to latest software updates |
Hello Sir, Is the problem happens on all ports or just in a few of them? Can you share us a screenshot of the error Best Regards |
Edited by FDSFSFS SFSDFS at 2024-10-3 08:17 I did not try all ports only few that in use, e.g. I tried connect to port lan2 that currently cannercted to AP-180 and work perfect, also I tried to connect AP-180 lan 4 that fails with particular devices and also have no issue with it. In same time few devices I used before without issues stopped working with POE. E.g. Zigbee concentrator Smlight slzb-06 was working for a long time without issues but stopped, I have 2 same kind (one was in box) and both have same issue, it seems they just cannot initiate POE connection, restarting it continuously, same story with POE expander POE013G and POE splitters PS5712TG both were working no issues |
I also was about to back to older software but did not find a way how to revert router software updates |
FDSFSFS SFSDFS replied at 2024-10-3 08:20 Hello, I‘m sorry that we can't provide a specific solution for you based on current information. According to your description, the AP180 is working normally with EG POE, correct? 1. Have you contacted the engineers of the Zigbee concentrator Smlight slzb-06 to confirm if there is an issue with their device? 2. If you use other POE devices, are they able to power normally? 3. Whether you try to disable POE of EG and enable it again? Best Regards, Micca |

I had no time to investigate issue with it, from first look it doesn't looks failed, at least voltage is ok but it's clear that router fails to power my config with particular one. Seems components degradation, it was hot all the time. Strange that AP-180 consume 5 times more that devices I had issue (at least based on router report) but still working Ok. Seems it also related to pure POE protocols realization in failure devices. Anyway, issue is solved, thanks |
