How to enalbe the third radio of AP740-I? |
The third radio of AP740-I support wireless user access, the default is off. After the third radio configuration is bound to WLAN, the WLAN signal is not broadcasted by default. The third radio need to be enabled manually by the command: extra-coverage enable. Radio3 as 5G access, can only work in the 5.1G band (36-60). Radio2 work in 5.8G (149-165). Radio1/2 transmit power up to 50%. Radio3 as 2.4G access, dual 2.4G only supports channel 1 and (11 or 13), 20M bandwidth configuration. Radio1 transceiver antenna up to 3 send 3 receive, the maximum transmit power up to 25%. Radio2 transmit power up to 50%. [no | default] extra-coverage enable, AP configuration mode or AP group configuration mode, configure the AP switch third radio user access function, the default is off. The command belongs to the tri-state switch, convenient single AP/AP group/all AP combination configuration, default to default (inherited from the previous priority configuration, show run will not show), no enable (active off, show run will display), no prefix enable (active open state, show run will display). channel-switch radio-id1 radio-id2, AP configuration mode, configure the specified two same types of Radio by the specified AP to switch the channel configurations. |

Hi,Sir Steps to enable 3rd radio for coverage on controller: AC(config)#ap-config 740 AC(config-ap)#extra-coverage enable Verification: Telnet to designated AP740, and check whether the AP is broadcasting SSID with radio3 740#sh dot11 mbssid or you can exec" show ap-config summary" to verify whether have STAs connect to 3rd radio |
