Title: How do I check the default and actual maximum numbers of STAs on an AC or AP (AC-, AP-, radio-, or WLAN-based)?
On the AC:
(1)        Default maximum number of STAs
AC-based: By default, the maximumnumber of STAs on an AC is the maximum number of manageable APs multiplying 32.
WLAN-based: not limited
AP- and radio-based: Run the sh stamg limit-timeout dev command. (AP def indicates that the defaultmaximum number of STAs on an AP is 64 regardless of the AP model. radio def indicates the default maximumnumber of STAs on a radio, which varies with the AP model. For example, themaximum number of STAs is 156 on radio 1 and 100 on radio 2 of AP630.)

(2)        Actual maximum number of STAs
AC-based: Run the sh stamg limit-timeout ac command.

Note: sta-limit-num indicates the maximum number of STAs on an AP, and radio-info indicates the maximum number of STAs on a radio. The preceding figure shows the maximum number of STAs on an AP and radio after the maximum numbers of STAs displayed in ap-group and ap-config ap-name or ap-config all are added. In addition, the maximum number of STAs on a radio card is independent of that on an AP. You cannot add the maximum numbers of STAs on all radio cards of an AP as the maximum number of STAs on an AP. For example, if the maximum number of STAs on an AP is 50 and the maximum numbers of STAs on radio cards 1 and 2 of the AP are 128, only 50 STAs can be connected to the AP. Settings in ap-config ap-name, ap-group, and ap-config all is prioritized in sequence.
To query the maximum number of STAs on an AP, run the sh stamg limit command.

Note: The maximum numbers of STAs on the AC, WLAN, AP, and AP radio take effect at the same time. That is, a STA can go online if it meets all of the conditions.
