Title: What is the difference between the working mode of EW routers?
Router Mode: EW works in router mode, which can configure NAT and DHCP server, it works as the primary router and allocates IP addresses to users to access the Internet.
Access Point Mode: Previously it was called wired repeater. It works as the secondary router which connects to the primary router with wire to expand the network of the primary router. The device and the user are in the same network which both get the IP from the primary router.
Wireless Repeater Mode: This mode allows you to establish a wireless connection between a primary router and as econdary router to extend the network coverage. The local router will work as a secondary router. The device and the users are in the same network which both get IP from the primary router same as the Access Point Mode. (Please unplug the cable to avoid loops.)
WISP Mode: EW works in WISP Mode also wireless connected to the primary, but the router and the users will get different IP addresses, the router WAN IP address is coming from the primary router, and the user IP address is coming from the secondary router. WISP configures the WAN port of router to wireless access. Please first select the access type (DHCP, PPPoE or Static IP), and connect to the specific SSID. (Please unplug the cable to avoid loops.)
