Title: Why does ES switch not obtain an IP address?
AP can obtain IP address and go online on the cloud, but the ES switch cannot obtain the IP address and go online on cloud.

1. Network Topology:



You can see that the unknown device is displayed in the cloud topology and is offline.


2. Troubleshooting procedure:
Log in to the web UI of the switch using the default switch address 10.44.77.200 and check whether the Vlan Setting is disabled.

ES Switch can obtain an IP address automatically.



Note: VLAN settings are enabled. The device forwards packets based on the combination of the destination MAC address and VLAN ID.
The access port is used to connect to the endpoint. An access port forwards packets to only member ports of the native VLAN. The packets received or transmitted on this port are untagged.
The trunk port is used to connect to the switch. A trunk port may belong to multiple permit VLANs, but only packets of the native VLAN are untagged.
After VLAN settings are disabled, all VLAN setting swill be cleared and the device will forward packets according to the destination MAC address.
