The rate-control function is implemented using software. Very precise rate limit cannot be achieved and an error within a certain range exists. The larger the rate limit value, the smaller the error is in relative to the overall rate value. For example, if the error is 10kByte/s (reference value), when the configured rate limit value is 10 kByte/s,the actual rate fluctuates within the range of 0 kByte/s to 20 kByte/s. If the configured rate limit value is 100 kByte/s, the actual rate fluctuates within the range of 90 kByte/s to 110 kByte/s. Therefore, it is recommended that the rate limit be set to a value larger than 100 kByte/s when this function is used for rate limit. Then, the actual test result is close to the configured rate limit value. |
