A Reyee EG or Reyee AP (working as the router mode) is required to act as a DHCP server, and turn off their own SON functions. a) Disable SON function of DHCP server device, and the DHCP server will work in standalone mode. b) Configure DHCP option 43 in DHCP server: Option 43: #RJ#Master IP Example: Master IP is 192.168.100.1, Option 43: #RJ#192.168.100.1 Notice: Option 43: When #RJ#Master IP is configured on the device, SON function cannot be enabled. If you want to enable it, you need to delete “Option 43” configuration. |
Hi I use Reyee switches and APs, but my router is a Mikrotik supplied by the ISP. I cannot change the DHCP server to work from another device. I want to optimise the Wi-Fi network, and usually, it does not ask me for a "Master Device"—why now? |
User 29675 replied at 2024-8-29 14:16 Hi Sir, The SON generally automatically elects a Master device, so you don't need to pay attention to this section when your functionality is unrestricted and available. |
