Hi, I have starlink and just ordered a 6262. This unit will be connected via ethernet to starlink router. I understand that the 6262 will provide Internet connectivity over a large range, but feedback from devices, such as phone, cameras, or Google operated devices may not work due to distance from router / 6262. If I get another 6262, can I install it without ethernet cable, to wireless connect to 6262 with ethernet, and provide that function. If this is possible is it just set up via app? I'm not an expert, so basic understanding from me. Statlink > ethernet 6262 > wireless 6262> devices feedback. Is this correct? So second 6262 only needs power? Info welcomed. Thank you |
Dear sir To expand network coverage by installing multiple aps, each AP must be connected to the network. Therefore, it must obtain an IP address through network cables. In this way, other aps can be discovered and merged into the same network And the network topology is correct, you can follow this linke set up the APs via App https://community.ruijienetworks.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=4332 Best regards, Ross |
GTAC-Ross replied at 2023-4-6 09:34 I think I understand what you are saying but the web site suggests other wise! . "The RG-RAP6262(G) also supports mesh networking, so access points can be easily deployed in the scenarios where wiring is not convenient. Under the guidance of Reyee network app, you can launch and configure the devices on the entire network within three minutes. You can locally or remotely manage the entire network devices by using app, web, Ruijie Cloud, or Reyee Routers, or share with others for assistance management." <img alt="image.png"> |
