Mobile phone unable to connect Ruijie AP820-L(v2) WiFi Access Point (but Laptop PC can)

Company WiFi network:
VLAN 1 - Internal Network & Internet (from FortiGate firewall)
VLAN 200 - Guest WiFi (from FortiGate firewall

WiFi Access Point Device:
Ruijie AP820-L(v2)
Version:

AP_RGOS 11.9(6)W1B1, Release(09180101)


3 units, configured VLAN 1 and VLAN 200 wifi with different SSID in same settings (only separate different Channel respectively)


Ruijie AP820-L(v3)

Version:

AP_RGOS 11.9(6)W1B4, Release(09191916)

1 unit,  configured VLAN 1 and VLAN 200 wifi with different SSID in same settings as older model (only separate different Channel respectively)


Trunk function has been configured for connected Ports (for WiFi AP) in Ruijie L2 switch.


Issue:


Mobile phone

VLAN 1 wifi able to connect normally (for all 4 WiFi AP devices)

VLAN 200 wifi able to connect (for AP820-L(v3) device only)

VLAN 200 wifi unable to connect (for AP820-L(v2) devices only)


Laptop PC:

Can connect both VLAN 1 and VLAN 200 wifi for all WiFi AP devices


Please advise which has gone wrong in my settings.

Hello, you mean you set ssid of vlan 1 and vlan 200 for both model of the APs but mobile phone can only connect to certain model of the AP under the ssid no matter of the distance?
Did you test mobile and laptop with the same distance?
Could you test it by setting vlan 200 to a exclusive ssid to AP820-L(v2) to see if mobile can connect?

And what models do the mobile and PC belong to?

Hi Stella,
All 4 unit of WiFi APs are installed in different locations Each WiFi AP has different SSID name for VLAN 1 (eg: Company) and VLAN 200 (eg: Company_Guest)

Yes, both devices (Laptop and Mobile Phone) are tested in the same distance.
All the 3 units of AP820-L(v2) work only for SSID in VLAN 1 (SSID in VLAN 200 not working)
