Post-login URL not working on Android Phone but Laptop or computer able to redirect URL after connected captive portal auth

Good day to you ! I am having some issue which Post-login URL not working on Android Phone but Laptop or computer able to redirect after connected. I already enable captive portal auth on Reyee EG as refer to https://community.ruijienetworks.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=3207

but Android Phone not working

Is it possible to show us the topology you are currently handling on your side please?

What is the device model you use to deploy the captive portal, I mean, the reyee EG?

Can we know the firmware version of this reyee EG please?

does the portal can not work specifically in one android phone or on all tested?

Hi all,
After do a lot of testing on mobile on Andriod devices or IOS phone.

I found out this is unfortunately a known behavior in the industry and is specific to Android devices with a more recent OS version. It is not specific to Reyee Or Ruijie Products or even others products as well. Basically, at some point in time there was a change in way Android behaves by closing automatically the captive portal when detecting that the phone has connectivity to the Internet. In other words, the phone is getting redirected correctly to the URL, but checks whether Internet accesses are opened. As accesses to the Internet are opened at this point the phone decides the close the page automatically without asking for any user interaction. So in effect, the captive portal and redirection works just fine on Android, just that Android closes the redirection page automatically so you don't have the opportunity to really see it on these devices.
