The port mapping function can establish the mapping relationship between the IP address and port number of a WAN port and the IP address and port number of a server on the LAN, so that all access traffic destined for a service port of the WAN port will be redirected to the corresponding port of the specified LAN server. This function enables external users to access the service host on the LAN through the IP address and port number of the specified WAN port. Port mapping enables users to access cameras or computers on their home network when they are in the enterprise or on a business trip. Note: Gateway must be able to reach the LAN device to ensure proper functioning of the port mapping. 1. Choose Device > Gateway > NAT to go to the Port Mapping page.  The following is an example of port mapping configuration to access a LAN server 192.168.110.2:80 from the WAN IP address and port 8080 of the gateway.  |
