Hello,
What is Private Line configuration in WAN setup.
What will be the best scenarios of using this.
Can we access the one site one valn to another site vlan through WAN connectivity using ISPs provided extra vlan id(valn passthrough)?
Please provide the detail documentation on it.
Thanks

Hi:

Generally, private lines are used for access to specific internal networks but not the Internet. Private lines provide higher network security.

Regarding the VLAN question, please let me confirm.

Regards,

Javier

Hi:

Thanks for reply.
My office has two working Sites different locations.

Two office sites are connected through same ISPs fiber Router

The ISP's fiber router in each sites have two ports one for internet access (wan port) and  another port for valn pass-through to connect one site cctv vlan to another site cctv)
I have place Reijue EG10G-P  series gateway router in both sites.
How do I pass the internal  cctv vlan through another wan port as private line?
Is it disabling NAT on private line works?
Does the internal LAN network passed through wan port? because private line option is only available when lan port is changed to wan port only?
Please explain the  details configuration guide how to configure both site's router as private line to outcome the solution.

Thanks

Hi rabins_sky,

The private line is a reserved WAN link for accessing specific internal resources while the other WAN port can be used to access the internet.
If you want to use the private line, please make sure the CCTV networks on both sites are reachable via static routes.
You need to configure a Static Route that forwards data packets destined for the CCTV network via the private line WAN interface.
For example, if Site 1 needs to access the CCTV network 10.10.10.0/24 on Site 2, and the WAN1 on Site 1 router is configured as the private line with a gateway IP address 192.168.1.1. The static route can be configured as the following:

Hi rabins_sky,

Hello GTAC-Jayden,
Thanks for your valuable suggestions.
But sorry to say that I could not solve out the things that way.
So I am posting with the detail topology and my scenario.

- Both Site A and B have other two different vlans for office and guest whose vlna ids are 10, 20 on site A 30, 40 on B
- Both Sites are connect through same ISP provides Internet access from one port and one vlan pass-through from another port for cctv.
- Only single vlan is allowed for pass-through port.

Things are working any how. But problems are as follows:

1.
Since both sites are in different locations, both router is configured as different project in Reijue Cloud and both routers are master in own project site, the following alerts continuously on reijue cloud and eweb configuration:

2. Instead of using wan private line (WAN1) cctv vlans are currently passing through configuring LAN port both way.
3. Using the single switch on Site B I can sove the thing but can not because some APs with mixing vlans should pass
4. If we can use just the vlan id with out subnet ip for the cctv vlan in the router as we can do in the manageable switch it becomes simpler but that can not do in the router so things are complicated

My expectation is:
Instead of using LAN port for vlan pass-through I want to configure LAN port as Private Line WAN: for that

- What configuration (WAN IP and Gateway IP)  should be set for Private Line WAN on both Site A and Site B router?
- What static route configuration should be set after configuring Private Line WAN on both Site A and Site B router?
- Or I have to make some other changes in my topology, If yes please suggest in details and clear way.
Thank you.
