1. Application Scenario
A point-to-multipoint (PTMP) bridge is suitable for outdoor scenarios where multiple pairs of bridges are required to solve cabling issues while keeping costs within limits. Bridging is only supported between the same models. To save cost, you can change the working mode of bridges from NVR (AP) to Camera (CPE) so that one NVR bridge can connect to multiple camera bridges.

3. Configuration
3.1 Deploying PTP Bridging
(1) First, log in to Ruijie Reyee App. Click+ at the lower right corner. Click Connect to Wi-Fi.


(2) On the Create Project page, click Wireless Bridge to check the preparations to be completed. Click Start and click OK.

(4) If the bridge has been powered on for over 2 hours, the wireless signal is hidden. Power off the bridge and power it on again.
Then recreate the project. If the bridge is deployed within 2 hours. Click Connect to connect the mobile phone to the wireless signal prefixed with Ruijie-b.

Note:
The wireless signal here is the wireless signal of the bridge. (The last four digits of the wireless signal name are the last four digits of the device's MAC address. You can find the MAC address at the rear of the bridge.)
(5) Access the Device List page. Click Create Project.


(6) Enter the bridge management password and project name. Click Create a Project.

(7) On the Radio Country/Region Code page, select the country/region.


(8) Click Next, the point-to-point (PTP) bridge deployment is complete.



(9) Access the project management page. Select a bridge group. Click View More to view the current bridge connection status and the bridge name of the project.



3.2 Deploying the Second NVR Bridge

(1) Connect your mobile phone or laptop to the wireless signal prefixed with Ruijie-b.
Note:
The wireless signal here is the wireless signal of the second NVR. (The last four digits of the wireless signal name are the last four digits of the device's MAC address. You can find the MAC address at the rear of the bridge.)
(2) Open the browser and enter the address of 10.44.77.254. Upon first login, you need to enter the default password, which can be found at the bottom of the device. Access the web GUI of the NVR.
(3) Select Pair Again. Click Start. Other items are default configurations. Click Next.






(4) On the Mode Switchover page, switch the working mode to Camera (CPE). Click Next.


(5) On the WDS SSID page, click Scan. Select the Wi-Fi name of the PTP bridge deployed in the previous step.



(6) Check Default Password. Click Next. Confirm the configuration and click Save. Refresh the web page.

(7) If the new bridge is in Camera (CPE) mode or displays information indicating that bridging fails after the configuration is complete, adjust the wireless configuration. Choose Wireless>WDS. Click Scan. Select the wireless signal to be bridged and click Save.

(8) Wait for 30 seconds. Refresh the web page and log in again. The bridge mode switches from NVR (AP) to Camera (CPE) and the bridge joins the previous PTP project. The PTMP bridging is successfully configured.

Deploy the bridges after the configuration is complete. The installation site should meet requirements of device installation.
