Keywords:

Multiple primary devices
1. Fault Description
One RAP device frequently reports conflicts with the primary EG device, but sometimes the alarm clears automatically.

2. Device Model and Firmware
  Device Type

  Device Model

  Firmware Version

Gateway  EG1510XS

  ReyeeOS  2.283.0.1908

Access Point  RAP2260(H)

  ReyeeOS  2.280.0.1710

3. Cause Analysis
The RAP device fails to obtain an IP address and disconnects from the primary device, causing the RAP device to become the primary device itself.
4. Solution
4.1 Log In to the RAP Device to Check If It is a Part of Another Self-Organizing Network

As shown in the preceding figure, the RAP2260H does not obtain an IP address.
4.2 Check the Uplink Device Configuration to Identify Why the RAP Device Fails to Obtain an IP Address

It is found that LAN port 7 on the EG device, to which the RAP device is connected, does not allow packets from the default VLAN 233 (to which the RAP belongs) to pass through. As a result, data from this VLAN cannot pass through LAN port 7, preventing the RAP device from obtaining an IP address.
After VLAN 233 is entered in the Native ID field, the RAP device successfully obtains an IP address, and the primary device conflict alarm is resolved.
