Good Day, I just wanted to know why the R8P5 firmware is later then the R9 firmware for the RG-WALL 1600-Z-S Series. On my firewall, i have a 500gig ssd drive installed. as soon as i install the R8P firmware, i get a error on the firewall saying that the ssd is not compatible with the firewall and i need to install a Ruijie compatible ssd. But when i install the R9 firmware, i have no errors at all and i can see my ssd working fine. Also when i go to the https://secloud1.ruijie.com.cn/ and look for firmware for the firewall, it has all been removed. |

GTAC-Alan replied at 2025-1-13 21:21 Hi Alan, the ssd is a Patriot P210 which is a 512 GB. The ssd works with R9 but gives error on R8 firmware. Also why is the latest firmware on the cloud R8 and not R9? |
GTAC-Alan replied at 2025-1-13 21:21 Also, I have another client that has the same ssd make and model and was working fine with no issues on a older version of R8. But two days ago, there was an update available on the cloud R8P5 which i then updated the firewall and now it also have the hard disk not compatible issue. It has to be a bug in your firmware. I will have to change the firmware to R9 to fix this issue. |
