Block WAN Ping

Hi, I am wondering how to Block WAN Ping on a EG105G-P, It seems that the ACL's don't work. Even home routers have this basic security functionality, yet support are telling me it cannot be done. Has anyone worked out a way to block it? Any assistance is appreciated. |

GTAC-Daisy replied at 2022-8-9 17:18 This is extremely unsecure, and should definitely be implemented in a release that's very soon. Many of the other models list Block WAN Ping as a Security 'feature' it needs to be implemented in these additional models as soon as possible. |

admin replied at 2022-8-10 10:27 Just to clarify, We need to be able to Block WAN Ping, But we also need to be able to allow WAN Ping from certain IP's, so that our monitoring stations are able to confirm that the services are active. |
